Artist Jerry DeCaire shows how a comic book is made from beginning to end, and the demo drawings are then given away for FREE!
Jerry DeCaire, as one of the earlier artists for Wolverine and Deadpool (before Deadpool was cool), will be presenting a real-time drawing performance and workshop.
DeCaire's Deadpool was featured in Marvel's Secret Defenders series and they too have emerged like the proverbial Phoenix in contemporary trade and hardcover publications such as "Deadpool: he Circle Chase" (Epic Collection), "Deadpool Beginnings Omnibus", and others. DeCaire's most recent published illustrative work is in 2024's X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda (Omnibus).
As a Saginaw native, Jerry DeCaire started out with a bang. He was assigned an illustrative gig for the biggest name in comics, "X-Men Annual# 15". It was his first professional assignment which was then later reprinted in various trades. Following that, DeCaire was offered "Wolverine # 47" which then morphed into "The Essential Wolverine Volume# 2"; "Wolverine: Weapon X Unbound", and finally, the mammoth compilation, "Wolverine Omnibus Vol 3" in 2023. It comes with three covers offered by Mark Silvestri, Jim Lee, and Michael Oeming.
The real topper for DeCaire's career is projected to be his very own brainchild, "The Which-When Man" though a release date has not been set yet. DeCaire is also writing and illustrating his own How-To-Draw book, a Bible adaptation, and an esoteric take on consciousness in "The Other You."
In all his travels, Jerry DeCaire has warmly greeted at least half-a-million incredible fans from Texas to Alaska, and New York to Los Angeles and so many communities in-between. The artist always signs and gives away his demo-drawings and autographed, full-color prints to select patrons at every event.

The collection was housed exclusively at the Brooklyn Branch from 1992 until 2007, when access was expanded throughout the county. Today, anyone with a CCPL library card can request toys from the collection and have them delivered to the CCPL branch of their choice for pick-up.
This branch is a Student Success Center and a Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Café location.
